Walk the trail

You can now walk in Søren Kierkegaard's footsteps on a 12 km long scenic hiking trail that starts and ends in Gilleleje harbor. Invite your friends, colleagues, kids, your mother or someone you've just met on the route to share the experience and immerse together. During the 12 km you will get 11 Kierkegaard quotes that pave the way for reflections and conversation.

It is entirely up to you whether you want to walk the whole trail in one go or whether you want to divide the experience into smaller bits. Every quote invites for reflection and conversation regardless of the sequence you experience them in. In this way it is possible for you to walk from for instance quote 9 - 5 if that is the route that suits you. If a quote requires longer time to immerse yourselves in, you also have the possibility of taking a break on a bench along the way before moving on to the next quote.

Why hike?

Hiking in nature helps us get back to basics and strengthen the connection to ourselves. Humility arise in us when we see ourselves as part of something much bigger and we gain new perspectives.

When we walk together with others, shoulder to shoulder, a sense of community arises, and in motion the conversation flows more easily.
